Man, that's some hang fire. Is that all just from black powder?
Must have been from one of those cheap imitation black powders. Dang I hate that stuff. That Pydodex smells like burnt rubber bands. when it goes off.

I don't know what to drop my jaw to more, the incindiary bp shell or the size of that sombrero!

Re: SASS Shotgunnin', Levergun
so why did that do that? too much BP, too little? I'm thinking too little and as it tipped on side, was not compacted? I've never had a bp shotshell do that on me.

Re: SASS Shotgunnin', Levergun
My guess, Griff, we get some guesses right? First, I don't think it was black powder. Not the way it's burning off as the second hull is ejected. BP is highly explosive. It looked like whitepowder burning. My guess it's a BP substitute and it somehow was exposed to moisture and didn't properly burn upon primer ignition. Although it happened to him twice, during his string of four shots the second round ejected still burning powder. I'd like to know why. I don't shoot BP shotgun, I do shoot other things w/BP.
Looking at it again, the third round was still burning pretty good but ejected cleanly. You can see it burning as it's flipping up onto his sombrero. Something funny with that powder.

i would agree, something is up with the powder, it can be clearly seen burning on the ejected shell.

IIRC??? It was Elephant or Skirmish Fg with very little to NO compression. Jack seemed to think there were "style points" due... but anytime others can tell Ione has, or has nearly soiled onesself, style points are deducted, not added! And, no that's NOT me; you couldn't get my ego in that somrero!

The one thing to say for that guy. Even though he was dodging flaming shells he kept the gun pointed safe down range.
