Good question. I could be wrong but I think it's based on a shortend 444 Marlin case. Need to check into that one.What is a .405 JES?

i'm far from from an expert,but, rebarreling a win 9430wcf. to .375wcf.sounds kinda dangerous. think the .375 is loaded to a higher pressure than the original 94 could handle. that's why winchester came out the BIGBORE 94. ?
