Humor -- Survivor, Texas Style

Post by alnitak »

Due to the popularity of the "Survivor" shows, Texas is planning to do one entitled, "Survivor, Texas-Style."

The contestants will all start in Dallas, then drive to Waco, Austin, San Antonio, over to Houston and down
to Brownsville.

They will then proceed up to Del Rio, El Paso, Midland, Odessa, Lubbock and Amarillo .

From there they will go on to Abilene, Fort Worth and finally back to Dallas.

Each will be driving a pink Volvo with bumper stickers that read: "I'm Gay", "I Love the Dixie Chicks", "Boycott Beef", "I Voted for Obama", "George Strait Sucks", "Hillary in 2012", and "I'm here to confiscate your guns."

The first one to make it back to Dallas alive wins

Sadly enough, I have a Pharmacy Technician who would probably volunteer to do that. She is as liberal as it is possible to be and still have brain wave activity.

They say that when you're young, if you're not liberal, you don't have a heart - but when you're old, if you're not a conservative, you don't have a brain - so presumably she's young and a few years will 'cure' her problem.

They'd get through Austin easy.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

You know when survivor first was announced, I thought. Hey this is interesting. Toss a bunch of people on an island and see who the last person standing was. Truely a test of one's outdoor ability. Then I found out it was just a game of politics. Haven't watched it since the first espisode. I would like to see a stiuation where say five folks were dumped on an island at let be. Just a bunch of remote cameras to watch the action. No teaming up, just individual effort. You would be removed only is you requested it, or were injured or sick or dead. Now that would be "Survivor".

Hmmm good show concept. Only problem I see is that none would make it even half way

Well, that way the network gets to keep the prize money, and add it to the pot for the next season.
