Need some prayers-second update-great news

Post by Borregos »

Never had to ask before but my 13 month old grandson is in hospital with a blood problem and will be there at least a week while they try to sort it out. His mother (my shooting daughter) is staying with him.

Your thoughts and prayers for them both would be much appreciated.

The little guy responded well to his second treatment, he was discharged today, will still need close monitoring but a LOT of relief here.

Thank you all very much again, this forum is a wonderful place to be part of.

Prayers up.

Most little kids with the blood disorders actually do really well, if that is any reassurance. Hospitals are way nicer to kids than adults, too.

Thanks everybody.

Just got back from seeing the little guy and he seems to be responding to the treatmant, more blood tests due at 2030 with the results promised by 2230 to see just how well he is actually responding.
AJMD429, thanks for that information it is definitely reassuring. You are right about how they deal with kids too, the staff there is fantastic, my daughter was full of praise for everybody.

Little guy did not respond to the first treatment and had a second one last night.
Will know more today, leaving shortly to take his brother to see him and his mother.
The little guy is happy in himself and is taking all the needles with no problem so that is a blessing.

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts, I'm sure it is helping.
