tang sight screws
Does any one know where I can get srews to attach a tang sight to my 1894. I bought an old vintage Lyman tang sight and there were no screws with it. So I need to find some.
Re: tang sight screws
You might try Wisner's. Winchester Bob is out of them.

Re: tang sight screws
Lyman might have them as well.

Re: tang sight screws
For temporary use, or if all else fails, and you don't mind shaping your own screw-head, I got Allen-headed screws at ACE which made great tang screws; plenty of meat on the top of them to shape and groove.

Re: tang sight screws
Do you know how hard the heads of an allen screw are? Their the toughest metal screws are made from! You'll tear up a lot of cutting tools trying to reshape allen heads! Believe me I know from experience, and worn out lathe tools!AJMD429 wrote:For temporary use, or if all else fails, and you don't mind shaping your own screw-head, I got Allen-headed screws at ACE which made great tang screws; plenty of meat on the top of them to shape and groove.

Re: tang sight screws
That's the best bet. Call Lyman and ask for a set of screws for their Lyman #2 Tang Sight for a Winchester Model 94.Hobie wrote:Lyman might have them as well.
