When the young Englishman was shooting the 1894C in the Good, Bad and Lovely topic and hitting 5 out of 5 at 125 yds it would seem that he was shooting with the Marlin folding sight down.

:D Next time I'll put the sight up for him. :D Guess he is just an instinctive shooter.

I discovered this might be a possibility cleaning the rifle today and blew up the original to confirm.
