OT- S&W M51 opinions

Post by 336A »

So what are your opinions of this little revolver.? I inherited one of these from my father and it is in NIB condition. I have not shot it yet because I have more fun shooting .22LR. The price of ammo for the .22 WMR is just unreal IMHO were plinking is concerned. So what is everyones thoughts here on this revolver.?

Call S&W. Your Kit Gun can be fitted with a .22lr auxilliary cylinder. ( That green stuff's only paper, ya know ! )

It took me a bit to respond because a NIB 51 is just too cool. You can shoot the WRF stuff in it as well. Just clean the chambers thoroughly before using the WRFM...

I should say the condition is more close to being Like NIB. My father did shoot it some but not to any great extent. I can't recall a time when my father ever pulled it from the safe to go to the range with it. Pete maybe some day I will have a cylinder in .22LR for it. But it won't be anytime soon, that would be a great Christmas present though.
