That's okay, so far there's only 14 counties or parts of counties where lead free bullets are required. Everything north of Madera and Santa Clara Counties is open to lead bullets. I shoot ground squirrels in Monterey County using Barnes Varmint Grenades and TTSX bullets, they work splendidly. The Barnes XPB bullets (not for squirrels but for bigger critters) work well in my .480 Ruger Blackhawk or Super Redhawk, and are available in Federal factory loads. So, we're set.

I wonder what "minimal" expansion means. If I want a solid, I'll go with the Punch Bullets any day. But if they expand a bit, might be a very good bullet.
