For those of you who like older Marlins
I recently aquired a couple more Marlins to add to the safe. By no means are these old girls collector material, but then again I shoot everything I own. A couple show more "character" than others but thats what means the most in my book.
1st--1893 (30-30) I purchased from an estate sale out in the country for $250 (rural South Dakota)
2nd--1893 (25-36) Half Oct /half round with Lyman rear and globe front. Barely any finsih, but shoots great.
3rd--1894 (25-20) Mint bore Traded for an AK
4th --93 Marlin (30-30) Non original wood, but mint bore anf factory 20 in barrel. Shoots MOA all day. Great carry gun
5th--Marlin 36 (38-55) Orig a 30-30 but was rebored. Great shooter as well.
And a few more Marlins with a Win 94 Pre-64 (1953 with 20rds orig down the tube) in 95% at the top
Any my Elenor. A orig 1876 Win that refuses to get completed. This Winters project if all goes well. Was a basket case but will be a looker and a shooter when done.

Wow! Nice group of Marlins! .... and that '76 receiver has got me battling envy.

The top pic shows Marlins as they were meant to be.
Maybe someone should show 'em to the folks at MARLIN...

Most of the Marlin owners I know are more than happy with the way Marlins look, new and old. I know I am.
