Well I took the advice of everyone on the forum and did some research. I found a beautiful Marlin 336 rifle for Lindsay for Christmas! She absolutely loves it! I have to thank Dave for offering such a great deal on an awesome rifle and Joe for helping me to get it. I think it is safe to say that this Christmas will go down as one of the best ever for her! I absolutley love seeing the joy on her face...that is what makes being a mom the best! I am attaching some pics of Lindsay opening her gift. Her sister Emily has discovered her passion for archery. She recently did it at Girl Scout camp and was pretty good. So Santa bought her an archery set. That is her in the pics with Lindsay. I just love those smiles!!!!!
AWESOME MOM!!!! you get the american mom award... it will come in handy when she starts dating hate to admit it but girls are usually a better shot then the fellers something to do with my patience? good luck in her hunting skills... took my 8 year old sone out this afternoon with his ol 1951 scoped winchester 94 30-30 rolled him like a butter ball but he was grinnin all the way around... worth every cent
Now you have to get some ammunition and give us a range report.

Beautiful young ladies and their weapons of choice. No amount of money could buy those smiles. I will always remember my first rifle and bow. The bow doesn't get used because of shoulder joint replacements plus I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn when I could shoot it. The first rifle was an Anschutz 22 sporter. I use subsonic ammo in the back yard and it sounds like a pellet gun. Maybe you could load up some mouse phart lead bullets for practice in the yard. Those girls are cuties, better keep a shotgun around to clean when the boys come calling when they become teenagers. I always made it a point to be cleaning a shotgun or 1911 when meeting my girls' new boyfriends for the first time. Works wonders. My wife would look at me and just roll her eyes knowing I relished that part of being a dad. Those two young ladies have a very smart mom er Santa.

Already did. Santa had some ammo made for her with a personalized label. It went over big. We have to get the rifle fitted for her and then off to the range and her next hunt in Feb. Will definately send updates!
Hey Huntress - is that you I made the ammo for? Well, for your daughter? I didn't put the name with the face and moniker. Next time just say it is Huntress and I'll know who you are! Glad it got there and produced a smile!

Why yes, it was for my daughter! She absolutely loved it. You did a great job. She was very impressed after she saw the personalized label. Thank you!!!
