I like the tiny little "R.C.B.S. Gun and Die Shop" ad on the lower corner of page 42. I guess that worked out eventually.
... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.

I always wanted the Shultz & Larsen M60 rear locking bolt in 7x61 Sharpe & Hart. Almost as slick as a Krag.

Might as well face it, you're addicted to guns . . .
Re: GUNS magazine, September 1957
the ads are fun to drool over.
the little woman-big gun article was fun, too.
but,,, the thing that struck me most was the pro-gun law article,
could have been taken from today's news, 53 years ago. what the heck?
stand strong, get involved, THEY will never give up.

"the pro-gun law article", "how little has really changed over the last 50 years"
I thought the same thing.
The more things change the more they remain the same.
I loved comparing prices between different guns and how they stack up to today's prices.
Also enjoyed reading a bit of unabashed, unrepentant, w/o remorse male chauvinism.
Sorry, ladies...

Did anyone notice the cost of optics relative to today? Imagine having to pay a rent payment for a scope sight, and not the best at that.
