Brownells quick take down screw review

Post by kid_couteau »

Hi All

Bought a couple of these for my 336s

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=2701 ... DOWN_SCREW

If you buy them expect them to be slightly oversized.

The two I bought, one I had to take to the belt sander a smidge and both the threads had to be worked a while.

After fitting though they are a great addition as you do not need a screwdriver to remove the lever now.

Any ways just sharing

.
I saw those on Brownells. They wanted $20 plus $10 shipping, I thought "I can make one for that". So I did. It took about 5 tries to get everything perfect, but this is what works in all of my guns.

These make it nice to be able to field strip the rifle without needing a screwdriver.
