Well that cool air made me feel good last night and so I rose early and grabbed the .410 and some bacon and sausage. I was going to have breakfast in camp
It,s been a few month since I fired that stove and I was missing it. The weather was lovely- early sun with cool fresh air. Squirls everywhere on the acorns, just brill.
Heres the dog and stove, the dog seems to of gotten the devil in her

Ahhr nearly ready-slurp. I added an egg after this shot

I was just finnishing my last sausage outside admiring the woods bueaty and a squirl climed an oak next to me and the dog. The dog I steadied telling her to leave it as I finnished my sausage. The squirl watched me as he tucked into his last acorn. When I finnished my sausage I grabbed the .410 and nailed him as he made his get away
I made my way home then and shot another four squirls and I was not really trying otherwise I could of filled a sack easy
Any ways I do like the fourten and think it is underated especially over here where loads tend to be low pressure offerings but was it Old irons or Old savage that was mess,n with a super slug for fourten? Any progress reports?

Howdy Nath, Great post, glad you like the fourten for squirrels (sorry I ment Squirls)As a kid I started with a single shot fourten so tightly choked it grouped rather than patterned. But it still got me into hunting and I've never looked back!
