336 extractor
my shootin buddie's Marlin 336 is having extraction problems.....is changing the extractor a do it yourself job ?

Just about any job you can name on a 336 is a DIY proposition. If a 336 owner will do an online search for 336 tear-down instructions and follow them carefully just once, he'll never again have to ask himself, "Who can fix my 336?" The answer will be obvious -- he can do it himself!

thanks guys got one comin from brownell's, along with some tru-oil for my gun

Let us know if the new extractor fixes the problem. Also, is the new extractor the type made in one piece, or is it the Marlin type where if you look closely you can see that there were 2 pieces connected together? Just curious.

A 336 extractor is & always was one piece. The ejector is still 2 piece & has been since 1894 or 5.
