Just imagine the price if he had all of the parts there, the rifle dismantled and displayed.

Thank goodness it is not blued. I wouldn't be able to afford that thin coating!

Being math challenged, my 1873 rimfire has most of the rec. interior parts,original ( not cracked butttstock ), barrel , sights, lever, hammer, springs, etc.
So that = what?
Just kidding, may be me , but it sounds excessive

If the receiver had a barrel, mag tube, stocks and was a complete gun, he might get away with that silly starting price. No person in his right mind would ever pay that much for a polished '73 receiver. Probably had all the pits and dings ground off, too. :(
