Buck, I can't express how badly I feel for you. First your wife, and now
this.

You have my sincerest condolences.

Nobody should have to bury their kid.

I can't imagine how difficult this must be.
I never had any children of my own but if something happened to one of my wife's
boys I would be beside myself.

Buck, I am very sorry to hear this. What a shock. It has been a hard year for you and you have my most sincere condolences.

Very sorry to hear of your loss Buck.

No words can express the feeling of losing family. Few words can express the thoughts of caring when those around us lose family. I hope some of the words here can help you know that there are many that would share your burden or lighten your load if there was any way to.
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." -Theodore Roosevelt-

Buck, I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't get a chance to get online yesterday but Jr. told me he read your post. I was praying for you this morning. My wife and I had to lay our twins to rest about 27 years ago and it still hurts.

I was listening to a preacher on the radio this morning who was preaching through the book of Job. He pointed out that even Jesus, when he was on the cross asked WHY?

Buck, Sorry to hear about your son. I don't know what to say. If I were there, I'd come get you and take you to the range to burn a bunch of .22lr up as it is a good way to ease heartache. I know. Don't forget that you have a bunch of friends here who will help you in whatever way we can.

This is the call that every parent fears - words cannot express the sorrow and grief. Having to bury one of my children, especially my son, would be too much to bear. Prayers sent from Central VA.

My infant boys are yet to move in social circles I can't control but the dangers ahead terrify me. As a dad I think I can understand, at least in part.

The next hugs I give my sons will be with your son in my thoughts. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.

They say that heroin was the culprit. Scott had been enrolled in Narcotics Anonymous for the past several years, and was having a roller-coaster battle with his addictions. At the time of his death, he had been clean for several months, then took a "usual" dose of the drug, (at an NA retreat...) to which his system was no longer accustomed... LE has a line on who may have delivered the drug to him.

Gentlemen an brothers, again I thank you for your heartfelt outpourings of sympathy and condolences. Reading the experiences of so many of you helps me realize that I am not alone in my situation, and that many of you have stood where I stand today. My heart goes out to all who have lost friends, children, and other loved ones to the ravages of illegal drugs, and to the other unfair happenings in life, that seem to catch us unaware...

I pray to God that none of us will have to face such a trial again, in the future.

Many Many Thanks!
Regards

Buck
