NAA - Ranger limited trial run
A while back, I think it was YK that posted on the NAA - break top mini derringer. When I saw that, I asked my local dealer to get one if he could. Turns out, the first batch is a limited run of 400. This one is #108 of that run. NAA states that these are mostly handmade and are testing the market with this limited release. Well when I saw it, and checked out all the quality, I decided to take it home. My first impression is very pleasing. I love the break top version, it shot to point of aim at 10 yards which I was surprised about. It is a 22 mag and a 1 5/8 inch barrel. Its longer due to the action type but reloads are a breeze. The empty's are ejected via spring action.

Re: NAA - Ranger limited trial run
When I originally saw them on the net, I quickly emailed NAA asking if they would be available in California. Well, the answer was "no". Maybe if they go into regular production, but not the limited addition ones. So, let us know how it works out. I sure hope this becomes a regular item.

That's funny, earlier I ran across the picture I'd printed from the original post and was wondering if any were ever made. I still don't need one, but I sure still want one.

It would make a nice 'little buddy' to my H&R 999 top-break...

Mike Cumpston has an article in the pipeline about this new break top, but I forgot to ask him which mag he sold it to!
Grip frame is larger than me Black Widow, and easier to hold on to. I'd like one of these in long rifle with a longer bbl.

Re: NAA - Ranger limited trial run
What is the retail cost of one of these? Their regular mini runs around $200.
Re: NAA - Ranger limited trial run
I like that, especially in 22 magnum.
Re: NAA - Ranger limited trial run
At $500 DEALER cost that is one spendy derringer! I like the looks but I think I'll wait and see if the price comes down.
