We Lost A Good Rifleman Today
Many of you knew him. He was a member, but didn't post. BestLever aka Jim Lawrence passed last night in his sleep. This is killing me, I've truly lost a best friend. Some prayers for his family would be nice.

Blaine, please accept my personal condolences. I know you guys were good friends.
He was a heck of a good guy and will be missed.

I'm still pretty much at a loss for words. RIP Jim.

Losing a friend is terribly hard, I've buried four since my Grandson was born just before Thanksgiving. Prayers sent to the close friends and family.

Jim was always kind to me and I too well know what it is to lose a good friend. My condolences to you and please express the same to his wife. I don't know what else to say.

Hey Blaine, tried to call a couple times. Hope you are doing ok brother. I'm feeling Jim's loss pretty big this morning. Wish I had made it out there to meet him.

Re: We Lost A Good Rifleman Today
Blaine, thats a kind thing for you to say at this time and means a lot. Truth be known it's probably 5 times more than I deserve, and half what I thought of Jim. He was a good example to me of what a man oughta try to be.

Re: We Lost A Good Rifleman Today
I have been over on the Levergun Lovers forum today reading all the comments about Bestlever/Jim Lawrence. He certainly made a big impression there and at Marlin Owners. I think he must have invited the whole crew to fish with him, I know he invited me. Always upbeat and positive but he was up front with you about things. A great guy and truly one of a kind.
Sincerely,
Hobie

Re: We Lost A Good Rifleman Today
I've been reading all the threads and comments about his passing. I can't get through them without tearing up. I didn't know him personally, only through the forums. Not even very well there as I only communicated with him a couple times here and on the other Leverguns forum.
But I did enjoy his stories, photos and information and for some reason his passing has hit me hard.
Jim, you will be missed, but your having been here has helped us all enjoy our lives. We won't forget.

If he knew you he invited you Hobie. He invited me to come Elk hunting, fishing, riding, whatever. I'v got alot of regrets, but now I'v one more. I shoulda went. Had it halfway planned at one point but let things push it aside thinking theres always next year. Well it aint so, nobodies guaranteed a next year down here. If theres something you want to do & its possible, go do it. Met a bunch of guys from different forums, going to go hunting in Oklahoma next year with a few more of them. I'm sure it'll be a blast but I'll always regret dropping the ball in regards to Jim. He was one of a kind.
