Rec'd a package from Mr. Henry Rac today ...

Post by 86er »

delivered by UPS. It was the Henry Youth .22 that I sent off for them to look at. Regardless of ammo type and with sights or a scope I could not get 5 shots in less than 1 1/2" at 15 yards (that was a good group). At 25 yds it was all over the place. The rifle was picked up on their dime and returned the same. It was gone only 2 weeks. The notation with the rifle says "new barrel", "white dot front sight", "action work-up", "test fire for accuracy". In addition, we had a little bare spot on the stock. The spot is fixed to the point of invisibility, although some of the other scratches and dings we had are still present. That was thoughtful to polish up our stock since I didn't request it nor did it bother us much. The trigger had 3 distinct hard stops within the pull, and that didn't help things any. Now it is glass smooth and breaks clean and light. The first 10 rounds at 15 yds with bulk Remington Lightning stayed well within an inch. The sight needed to move up just one notch for a 6 o'clock hold to be right in the bullseye. I moved to the ground squirrel spinner at 30 yards. Easily hit it 35 out of 40 rounds to finish off the box of ammo, including sitting in a chair and finally off-hand. Thank you HENRY REPEATING ARMS for excellent service, a well executed repair, outstanding warranty, and a great American made product! I am now in the market for another Youth, and maybe a magnum and centerfire.

Glad you got your rifle back in good shape, Joe.

I wonder how many folks would just decide to sell their lemon and never buy that brand again.

It's good that they were able to provide warranty service to meet and exceed your expectation, but in my mind it doesn't change the fact that you should have had it all right when you bought the firearm new, and straight out of the box.

What's the old saying... ?

Good news. I like my Henry .22lr, and this post makes me even happier with it.

Henry is a fine company to deal with. It ain't often that something goes wrong them but when it does they are Johnny on ths Spot.
