I had heard most of the character names at one time or another, but the Ferrari .308 GTS and the horse zinged right over my head.

Good thread.

I would never have gotten Chuck Connors horse's name. I wonder how many episodes he called his horse by name.

I have a question, Max Sands used two other names in Nevada Smith? What was the third name? Warning this is a trick question.

Ward Bond if you're talking JW's films.

And FWIW, Magnum's 308 GTS doesn't exactly fit the "Western" trivia title... unless you're only going by locale!

Does Magnum's wielding a 92 (Interarms Rossi) in one of the episodes help? :)

Dr Miller was played by Paul Fix in the John Wayne Movie El Dorado. I think he was in about every JW movie made from the 30s to 60s, Westerns and other type as well.

Both of these guys were very close to John Wayne..
In fact Harry Carey Jr married Paul Fix's daughter...and
John Waynes acting hero was Harry Carry Sr.

And by the way, the last triva question,..... Who is "Dobe"? ..... its Harry Carey Jr.

And of all the actors from that circle....
only Harry Carey Jr., James Arness, and Patrick Wayne are still around...
