not a 39A but a 39 PreA with Lyman 17 front and Win 96 rear
(you can shoot it in about 5 weeks).

I put a XS front with a Williams 5d on my 39M. I really like XS front sights, the little white stripe down the center of that post is great.

A Williams FP for my 39a arrived yesterday. The screws in the receiver are resisting their eviction, but that won't last.

I used an Italian repro tang sight on my 39a for a couple of years. The FP ought to be better for making adjustments for different ammo. I use a wide variety of .22 ammo, from Super Colibris to subsonic 60 grain loads, to super high velocity. If I can get it all sighted in, and remember how to set the sights for each, I'll be all set! 8)

Mine is a 1955 rifle I purchased a year ago. It came with a very nice Redfield receiver sight. I usually prefer a tang sight, but this Redfield does just fine.

I've got a 1956 Mountie that I put on the only thing I know I'm really good with...

A rear sight assembly and front sight from a Winchester 9422

One of these days I'm going to remove that #@%! ramp and have a dovetail cut and put on a post sight. :x
