I am always pleased when I find a little extra in the package.
I bought several bags of new (sealed bags) Star-line .38 brass today. there was an extra piece in every bag.
The last brass I got from them had extras also.
Sierra bullets used to advertise "101 bullets in every box"
Lots on outfits have stopped trying to make their customers happy it seems to save that extra penny for profit..
I tend to buy from those who do just a little extra for me.
Some company`s just give a little extra.

Chuck , reread and agree with every word. It also makes you search out that company next time

In my industry, they call the extras that we don't charge for "value added service". I won't use that term, or the "return on investiment" term either. Sales guys use these to spin how much "extra" folks are getting for their money. Reality, is the customer "IS" paying for it, but some folks don't do what (in my opinion) they are paid for. Me, I just do it, and believe me customers notice, and appreciate your not "rubbing their noses in it".

jeepnik , You are right my friend.
Person A advertises 100 cases for X dollars and gives you 100.
Person B advertises 100 cases for X dollars but sends along
101.
My kinda people even if there is enough in it, profit wise, to do so. That person will get my dollars next time.

Yea, I remember those days. I still have a few boxes of Sierra's that are unopened.

I remember buying a 'baker's dozen' doughnuts. You had to ask for the 13th doughnut when you picked them out.

Customers do notice when you do something extra for them. I will always come back to a retailer who does more than asked.

Along this vein, I was in a gun shop today. I'm looking for a folding rear sight for an AR-15. Since my particular model has a removable carrying handle, I want to remove it. Now the shop is a dealer of that brand. They didn't have my model on hand to measure. So, rather than sell me something that I might have to return, the fellow insisted I bring the rifle in. Sure I'll have to go back. But he could have just sold me something that "might" fit, and if it didn't I'd have to go back anyway. Nice to run into folks who'd rather do things right than just sell something. And believe me, I'm going back to that shop.

Yeah, that stuff works. RCBS has been so good to me over the years, I actually feel guilty if I should happen to buy another company's product. (Doesn't happen often.)
Have you hugged your rifle today?
