minneapolis, what to see
Going to be in Minneapolis for a few days, what do I not want to miss? I'm going to the gun show this coming week end.

West of Minneapolis (45 min drive IF I recall) is a nice gun shop. Little Crow guns. Closer to town is Gunstop reloading that has a bunch of guns too
I am one gun away from happy

I live 150 miles north and I wouldn't go there on a bet. Well I do go to Cabellas in Rodgers once and a while. Come to think of it they have Moltree 80's for $119 right now. See ya there.

The Frontiersmans is on the southside Frontage road of 394 and Louisiana Ave, Riding the MTC Bus around is quite a trip if you wanna see all the "people" types!! I'm assuming the gunshow is at the State fairgrounds? Thats usually pretty good but crowded.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

There's always the Mall of America. Consumerism at it's finest!

Dinky Town is good. IIRC you can watch the Hippies at Utne Reader. Weather Permitting, the River Walk is actually VERY good and you can see the Bridge Memorial (last time I was there the remains of the bridge was too...)
Skip the Mall.
Lots of good eats (as in any generally Liberal City) Stay near the River and out of the first couple of Rings and you shouldn't have to worry too much.

You could go to a Vikings game, but you would miss good football.

Hey, at least the Vikes gave you a game and didn't roll over.Bigahh wrote:I would have given alot to have been there yesterday to see my Packers tack on loss #6 to the Vikings ! It was still nice to see on the tv though !
I avoid the Twin Cities like the plague. Not too far south is Ahlmans http://www.ahlmans.com/ in Morristown, near Faribault, a big guns store with lots o' leverguns and single shots, plus a cowboy range.
