Very, very cool.
Reminds me of the late Nevil Shute novel,
"Trustee from the Toolroom." The main
character in that story makes model engines
and writes about them for a magazine. It's
a good read if ya can still find a copy.

Unbelieveable talent, but I've got a couple of questions. No spark plugs, glow plugs or type of fuel injection short of the intake manifold. What's it run on?

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Re: Guy builds the smallest working V12 engine.
So if it's running on compressed air, it is nothing more than a VERY fancy "Whirly Gig"...........A very nice piece of machining, but no distributor, valve timing, compression rings, oil pump, etc.........
Don't get me wrong, it's impressive, but there are much smaller air powered motors out there and there are comparable sized, fully operational, 4 cycle internal combustion engines.
I recently was made aware of a jet engine, formed from ceramics, that spins at a couple hundred thousand RPMs that is the size of a pencil eraser!

Re: Guy builds the smallest working V12 engine.
Personally, I don't consider a machine that runs on compressed air a fully functioning engine. As I said in my first post, it's impressive, but it's not an engine.
