About as ugly as Ruger's latest issue. I realize that I'm getting old, but wouldn't it be nice if you put that idea into a nice wood (not laminate, that's PLYWOOD), stock and give the metal surface a bit of polish. I know it would cost a bit more, but come on, at least you wouldn't have to put it waayyy in the back of the safe to hide it from friends.

Re: How about TC's new offering
Trying to apply the Contender/Encore versatility to a bolt action now. It sure is ugly, but so are any number of rifles people love
Not my cup a' tea (although i like the Encore/Contender )
I just like the grab n go versatility of having several different rifles with separate optics ready to go without having to fiddle with them too much - other than the initial set -up, sight in and figuring out the best loads to use
I tried this concept out with my AR-15's a few years ago, -- i thought, hmmmm - one lower receiver and i can have 3 or 4 different upper receivers built up for different needs ! --- decent enough idea, but i couldnt resist the urge to build up 3 separate lower receivers for them all in one expensive weekend because having one rifle plus a briefcase full of barreled uppers irritated me for some reason
-- but for some reason, with the Encore, i am perfectly happy just having one frame plus a briefcase full of pre sighted in barrels -- dont know why i was OCD with the AR's and not the TC

I like it.
I bought their TCR '83 when it came out and it is a fine single-shot rifle.
If the quality of this swap-caliber is anywhere close to that one, I'm in.

Neat concept, but it would need a major facelift before I would consider one.

I like the idea of having a take down bolt action rifle. The stock is ugly and would have to go. Need to see one in person.
Re: How about TC's new offering
the stock is ugly ! i like the idea of a switch barrel but skip this one and go for a contender/encore or a blaser

Well, it would be good for them what lives in places where you can only have 'one gun' - you could meet a variety of needs with one receiver.
God forbid many of us ever have to live in such a place...

It looks like the answer to a question nobody ever asked.

Re: How about TC's new offering
My two imediate questions are how many locking lugs does it have and how accurate is it. I admit that it is rather on the homely side but it has it's attractions to me.

We see that quite often in online gun forums and now, as always, it's incorrect.
The question was asked. In a board room. The question was "What's something new that we could sell?"
Slow is just slow.
