Shot this ten point buck with my Browning 86 45-70 at 60 yards, hole the size of my thumb through his heart.
After hanging dressed for three days he weighed in at 230 lbs.
Lets see your lever gun takes.

Got this buck with my Marlin 375 in the 2010 season. 235 gr. cast bullet from a Ranch Dog mold @ 2100 fps straight through the heart put him down quickly.

This is a big deer! Kremmling, Colorado. 1886 Winchester--caliber 33 WCF

Same rifle, same load in rifle, (42 gr. 3031), same idiot...but 30 years earlier. Centre County, Pa.

For whatever reason, I've gotten my biggest deer with the bow. This is the biggest deer I've shot with a levergun. Its a 7-pt. but with a very small/tight rack. Marlin 336C 30-30 with winchester 150gr. silvertip.

Well my best one, a 300+ pound Whitetail buck shot with my Browning Model 1886 SRC 45-70 was photographed back in the days of roll film. When I got home, I found that the camera had no film in it.

Here's another one shot more recently with a Winchester Model 94 30-30.

This is my best lever action deer picture because the buck was shot with a rifle I had customized by McPherson and had saved over 3 years for. The load was one that I had cast and loaded myself and had stalked and closed the distance to place the round right behind the shoulder. I used a knife I had inherited from my grandfather and as you can tell I was given the pants. 40 year old Woolrich pants that even though they are a little big there my dad’s and are the most comfortable pair of hunting pants you can find. The best day afield and the best meat I ever had. I’ve shot bigger bucks in stature but this one is my biggest trophy.

At ten paces. The stag was a gnarly timbered character I had been after for four years running. With an Old BLR in .308 and a weaver 3x.

But I like this one too, because I was very fond of the rifle, a 1952 '94 .30/30

This is the largest racked whitetail I've ever killed and yes he's nothing to get excited about . Shot him on our property maybe 200 yards behind our home . I used a circa 1978 Marlin 45-70 that I bought from Boge Quinn on this forum a few years back . The rifle has a old Weaver K2.5 on top and as you can see the scope is a bit far back . This was before I had acquired the older longer Weaver 63B bases to make it more shall we say comfortable . I used the Ranch Dog 460-350GC with 34 grains of XMP5744 to shoot him at 57 measured yards . Shot him right behind the shoulder and penetrated the heart , he ran maybe 30-40 yards and was dead when I got to him . Sorry to say this rifle has gone down the road like many others and been replaced with a circa 1972 first year rifle in the same basic configuration but this one happens to be one of the first before they started with the Micro Groove in the "New Model 1895" .

Sorry don't have the rifle in the picture for this one . And by no means is the buck anything great . It however is the first whitetail I ever shot in velvet . It also happens to be THE FIRST game animal ever killed with the then in the testing stages Ranch Dog 432-350GC bullet !
I shot him in early august on a damage control permit . That year we were allowed bucks . Anyway shot this guy at 30 yards with the RD 432-350GC bullet being pushed by 45 grains of H322 in a circa 1971 Marlin First Model 444 . That rifle also came to me with a Bushnell Banner 1.5-6x illuminated dot scope that I found out after I called Bushnell and gave them the seriel number was made in 1978 . Got this rifle scope combo from someone on here as well but for the life of me I can't remmemebr who (and I am very sorry) . Not sure whether to blame my age or the number of guns that seem to go thru my hands whether it's to buy , sell , trade or move for others .

The rifle I shot the velvet buck with and below that a better picture of the Bushnell circa 1978 scope !

Neither of mine are anything to get over joyed about . But they're kinda neat to me and thats what matters
