Took a look see at my local gun shop and left with something a bit different.
A Colt SAA Clone in 45LC, Arminus by H. Weihrauch, Made in West Germany.
SAA revolvers of ANY ilk are impossible to find in Massachusetts. The only "new" SAA revolvers that can legally be sold are Ruger Vaqueros (And I already have a couple of those). So whenever I see ANY SAA, I but it.
This one appears unfired. Not a mark on the cylinder. Beautiful Case Coloring and a nice plain walnut grip......Locks up tight as a bank vault and the action is very smooth.
I paid $225.......

Re: SAA Followed me home
Actually, These revolvers do not hold high esteem in the Cowboy Action World. I've seen them being sold for under $200 here and there. But not in Massachusetts!
Any, None Ruger clone will fetch twice the going rate if it is here in the state and legal to be sold. It would have had to been in the state prior to 1998, otherwise it can not be imported or sold here.
So we pay a bit of a premium for ANY SAA.
BUT.........I'm here to tell ya. I know my way around SAA revolvers. I own over a dozen of all makes. (Over the year I've owned and "breathed" on another dozen or so) I attended Hamilton Bowen's SAA gunsmithing course during the NRA Summer Gunsmithing courses. I can take em apart and slick em up just as good as most........And this revolver is not bad at all. The internals are every bit as finished and quality as Uberti and other clones I have. The blueing is superb. The case coloring is very nice. The only thing I don't like is the frame mounted firing pin. Wish it was hammer mounted (stay tuned, this might change!)
I'd buy all I can get in this condition at this price............
