Guns of the Old West, Spring 2012

Post by Griff »

has a couple of spiffy articles on leverguns in the Spring 2012 issue. Even one of the totally useless (if you ignore the fun factor), Rossi Bounty Hunter gun. Maybe Nate can elaborate as he had something to do with the project.

Personal aside to the author, I think that baby needs a Bridgeport device instead of a holster!

Griff,
If you do, you gotta post a full set of photos.
Think you can get it done inside of 30 days? I'd like to see it. :)

Kid,
Nate & his twin brother Steve are pretty talented. :)

Denis,
I know Im probably more'n 60 or 90 days away from getting the final work on the Marlin project to the point where it's off to get refinished... I still have to overcome my fear of working on the internals to jibe with the C45S cartridge. I made a commitment to another forum member that I gotta keep first. Hopin to pass close enough by him to have dinner or lunch sometime next week, or the following at the latest. Once that's done, the Marlin is off standby and the grinding wheel will get spun up to speed... consequences be darned... Once it's working like it should, it'll be off for that re-finish work. At that point, I'll test the waters with Nate... I think I know how the make the C45S work in a '92, but want to bounce those ideas off him while I'm not thinking about the Marlin. Unfortunately, I don't think the '92 can be done and still work with 45Colt...
And yes, a series of photos "in progress" would be neat.
