Some new shooters.

Recently one of the other sales guys in our office started asking me a bunch of questions about handguns and concealed carry. I invited him over to explain the differences between SA and DA autos and revolvers. He brought two of his boys along and after a long talk about safety we spent another three hours talking and looking at different guns.

The next day he's in my office asking even more questions about various guns and cartridges,
Having been up for hours on the net.

Today we spent several hours at a very crowded gun show looking at tons of handguns.
He liked my Glocks so I showed him the XDs, M&Ps, Berettas, Kel-tecs,more Glocks, etc..
He wants to shoot my Glocks before buying one or the XD that was his second favorite.

Showed him several revolvers but just wasn't into them. He wants to learn as much as he can and is looking for some basic gun safety classes for him and his boys.

Just added three more to the ranks! :D

Didn't buy a thing at the show but had a blast today talking about all the different stuff.
Got all turned on by the new Springfield 1911 6" Longslide. Didn't have enough $ on me but it's going on the short list...

Make sure you agree with their choices, and don't tell him that in a week or two he'll want something different. If they find out how much all this costs they'll quit before they get started.

My boy Phil is a very bright guy. He won't flake out. He'll make a choice and stick with it.
He has an old Ithiaca shotgun that belonged to his dad, so he's not a novice but came to me
to gain some insight into handguns. Our main office is in Cleveland, OH and we get into
Some pretty hairy places at all hours of the day and night.

Best part of the whole thing is he's got me wanting another .45 ACP. liking the
Springfield XD .45 and thier 1911 Long-Slide.
