Arkansas Elk Permit

Post by JerryB »

Well boys, I reckon I'll try again this year for an elk permit. I just got finished filling out the form on the Ark G&F site. They issue 25 permits FREE each year. A few years ago a friend at church got a permit. I'll know in a few months. Lets see now,;;;;;; 30wcf, 38-55, 45-70, 30-40 Krag oh well time enough for that.

I'll second this sentiment ----- the looks of the little half magazine of most 71's probably will not grow on me, but i like the power the cartridge has

Thanks boys but a Model 71 .348 ain't on the list. Reckon what I have will do for the area where the hunt is on the Buffalo National River.

Pokey, they are Rocky Mountain elk, pretty good size herd up on the Buffalo River, rough country too.

Rusty all prayers are welcome, Reckon I am about to old to be still trying for this.
