PSL in action

Post by olyinaz »

I found this photo interesting because the troop on the left has what appears to be a Romanian PSL:

Image

The photo's caption reads: "Security forces escort captured Taliban militants disguised in female dress to be presented to the media in Mehterlam, Laghman province, on March 28. Afghan intelligence forces said they had arrested seven Taliban militants. (Rahmat Gul/AP)"

I have one of these rifles and I have to say it's about as much fun as a lever gun!

Best,
Oly
Cheers,
Oly

It could be a romanian or it could be another hodge podge. I spent some time training Afghan Security forces and you would be amazed the different kind of weapons avail. Then again, the US just bought them quite a few new toys also.

However, with the right ammo those PSL's are pretty darn accurate. More than most folks lead on too.

And even with the "wrong" ammo, shooting it is nearly as cheap as shooting a .22

I'd like to have one.

My friend has a variation of that and I love it.Unfortunately finding one and affording it in this state are two things that prevented me from getting one.The "bullet" button on his is a real pain to deal with.He didn't like the optics but I did, made it very simple to walk the point of impact to where you wanted it.
