READ THIS BEFORE YOU ANSWER MY "WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE" POST

Post by pharmseller »

I'm going to make another post, asking if you would rather have a Marlin mountie made in 1955 in excellent condition, with a Williams peep, or a Browning A Bolt with a Leupold scope.

Answer emphatically that you would MUCH rather have the mountie. Effusive is good.

I am loving my Savage 22 with left handed bolt, after having a Marlin 39A.

Today put 4 out of 5 in one hole, I shanked the other. Not unusual to get 5 shots touching (@50 ft).

The Marlin is good but not that good.

You are shooting bread he wants to shoot Twinkies. Man does not live by shooting bread alone.

The above target was shot today with my new Savage Mark II 22lr left handed bolt and Weaver scope at 2.5x, 50 feet.

The center target was 25 shots offhand with Winchester ammo, this doesn't shoot as well as the Fiocci subsonic.

The bottom 3 red dots were shot with Winchester also, but with elbows rested. I then adjusted the scope a little to the right.

The others were all the Fiocci subsonic, elbows rested, the two best groups have pennies next to them. One is all touching, and the other, 4 shots in one hole with one shank, my fault.

So, yes, your son is getting the short end of the stick, but he doesn't pay the bills, does he? Maybe he can cut grass and get a nice scope, then cut more grass and get a better rifle. But he obviously has standards.

That would be fibbing to your boy-----------------no can do bro(cause he would be getting a worse gun)my opinion.

If you don't want him to have the other(at this time)just be straight up with him.

Trust me,being honest from the start will pay off later for you/him
so,what I will do----is not answer either way
