The deck hands had them off the line and in the hold, and you were re-baited so fast.....I had 8 nice rock fish, and one nice lingcod....My Mojo was off a bit, and could have caught a few fish more, but we fished the boat limit on rockfish, so everyone went home with a limit of those...kept your own lingcod..a 28 incher for me..just avaerage.

I'm taking the photo - that's our deck hand. The snapper really is the size of a samsonite - biggest I've ever seen.

They were off the line, and in the hold so fast it made your head spin. I've been eating lots of fish the last couple weeks!

Here was another favorite snorkle/spearfishing site on Oahu. You could even find a lobster every so often back then.

That Bay is now a reserve so no spearing or taking of gamefish allowed. :x

My brother who lives in the SF Bay area isn't a fisherman but he like me grew up on boats. His friends on two occasions bought him a ticket on a fishing charter out of the bay fishing out at the Farallon Island 30 miles west of the Golden Gate. The fishing for Rockfish and Lingcod is excellent out there but the waters are usually pretty choppy. My brother like myself (inherited from dad) NEVER get seasick so on both trips he won the pool on everything- largest fish of each species as was as most fish. He just kept on fishing while the other fishermen were heaving their guts out or lying down in the cabin.
