I don't know how many of y'all decided to do something this year but I did. Yesterday I went to Weight Watchers for my weekly weigh in. Since I started in the last week of Jan. I've lost 27 pounds. I got 'em on the run now!
OK now as of 3/19/08 I've lost a grand total of 35 pounds

Good for you. WW is great, it's really the smart way to lose weight. Two years ago through WW I lost 110 lbs., quit going to meetings and have put 30 back on. Yes I'm on my way back to WW.

I'm 150 down. I started four years ago and it took about two and a half years reach my "goal".
I'm still there, but I have to work at it every day.
It's worth it. (Horse appreciates it, too).
PS
I did not use WW or any other program. I had to find the right motivation and technique that would work for me for life.
For me that boils down to not eating much. I weigh every day and make adjustments as necessary.

Dastook,
I think you're about where I need to be. At least after I lose that 110 I'll know how much more I need to take off. I think the biggest incentive is knowing that I'm going to have to be in front of a bunch of women as a failure if I screw up. That would be that male ego thing I guess.
Besides my wife is doing it too, which makes it way easier than if we were sabotaging each other and her sister is going as well, so we have our own little family support group.
