My Oh My, Look what I found under the Christmas Tree!

Didn't ask for anything, or expect anything for Christmas this year. Like many folks, money is tight, and my fiance and I were just trying to make a good Christmas for the kids. I had been looking at a rifle for a while, but knew it just wasn't in the cards right now, but my fiance was paying attention, and somehow squirreled away enough money to get me the best Christmas present I have ever received. I found a large box under the tree and inside was the 1874 Sharps I'd been wanting for years! Yep, I've got the best little woman.

Mike, it's a Pedersoli Sharps Hunter model. 30" barrel, double set triggers, 45-70, weight is 10 1/4 lbs. Has buckhorn rear sight and front blade, but I'm going to upgrade the sights to a tang and front globe as soon as funds allow. I was very pleased with the wood to metal fit, and the quality of the wood is pretty decent too for an entry level gun.
