What's the best pump action 32-20?

The Lightning thread has me wanting a 32-20 pump.

Lightnings are operationally problematic for me - IMHO, I'd rather have a Remington Model 25 in .32-20, which additionally have better (also IMO) accessory peep sight or carry handle options.

The Marlin 27 and Rem 25 are both light weight and slick little rifles. I have both and they may be an option. I did look a very nice Colt 32 at a show once and it was a very nice rifle also. I would buy on price and condition for value down the road.

The Rem 25. I don't think there's really any question about that. It would be worth the money to find (if it didn't already have one) an original peep sight for it.

There is no finer 32-20 slide action than the Model 25. I may love Marlin levers, but Remington made a much better centerfire slide action than any other manufacturer.

Marbles still makes a tang sight for the Marlin 27 so you may keep that in mind. I got lucky on my Rem 25 as it has a original Lyman tang/receiver sight.

The Marlins seem to be easier to find in 32-20 than the Remington's .
