That would look good on my big bore AE in 356. It already sports a Williams FP with a Skinner brass blade, but I really like the look. It would mean resighting, but just things you have to do.

Take measurements from the reciever to your existing aperture center friend!
I have a Skinner sight on my Guide Gun, and it is everything I have ever needed. I like the fact that you can e-mail Tim Skinner and he answers personally. Excellent products and great service.

FWIW, Dr.Tim sold Skinner Sights last year - the new honcho, and the fella responsible for the new line of sights (no pun intended ), like this 94AE sight and the new clip-on sights for grooved rimfire receivers, is "Andy", and is just as easy to deal with as Dr.Tim - still excellent products & great service.

Looks like a nice alternative to the XS Ghost Ring for the 94AE which I have on my Trapper.
It seems the Skinner prices have jumped up in price since new ownership though still cheaper than an XS sight.

I wasn't aware of the sale. Sounds as if it is still in good hands.

Not to hijack the thread, but I was wondering if anyone here knew if one of the skinner brass front blades would take blueing. I was thinking about making a sourdough sight out of one by blueing everything but the front top. I tried emailing skinner sights about this a month or two ago, but haven't heard back.
Thanks.

Cold blue will turn uncoated brass a black color - just treat the brass part with a stripper first, incase it has a clearcoat on it.

Thanks for the info. If it doesn't work, I'll try paint like iceman suggested.

I noticed that. It sure looks tall though. I will probably get one for my 94AE .30-30 trapper. I've wanted and XS ghost ring but am afraid it would be too tall for the fiber optic I already put in the front. I guess a new front sight is pretty cheap, though.
