From what I can make out it's some kind of German advanced mathematics book published in 1890 or 1896 (kind of hard to tell).

It's an old book of memoirs and formulas from a great mathematician. This guy knew ballistics and taught the german army in the mid 1800s. It belongs to a friend of mine and he was able to show me some of the calculations used for arial and land based targeting. Geeky cool stuff for me.

Cool! I think I've still got a book in Swiss around here somewhere and I know I've got a "folder" of pencil sketches that's either in German or Swiss. I'll have to find them and get pics...

Ernie sure knew what he was talking about...his calculations were much better than the US ballistics formula.

I.E. Hey, buddy, hold up this 4 x 8 board and walk over yonder and let me see if I can hit it...method.
