Oh Pitchy, you got your happy smile back! As we all know, a dog is needed around the homestead more than people are needed. Won't be long, you two will be bonded and a new chapter in your life will be on the way. Happy for you bro!-------------------Sixgun

Pitchy, Karnak the Magnificent just opened an envelope that was in a jar that's been on Funk&Wagnels front porch since noon today, and the answer was "a dog sled".

What was the question?

Yea, but Pitchy's going to have one heck of a time pulling the dog around. Hey, what about a sled (you could put wheels on when the snow melts) with a big ole fan (think airboat) on the back? And, just to make it interesting, make it steam powered.

Really happy for you Pitchy. I'm kinda looking for a new dog to replace my Lab/Rott that I lost a few months ago. She was the best dog I've ever owned and I'm 74 now. Had a couple of Oorang Airedales that I really liked though so maybe I'll get another.

I suppose everyone knows this and I'm the last to learn it, but you don't want your dog to see you clean up his messes in the house 'cause HE THINKS THAT'S THE SPOT WHERE YOU WANT IT.

Glad to see you have a new friend Pitchy. :D

He made me think of the time we bought a new house when I was a kid. We didn't know the old, old lady across the back fence had an extra large dog that looked just like Indy only being owned by an old lady he was waaay over fed. The first time I saw it I was in about the second grade. I went running back in the house thinking there was a bear in our back yard.

Thanks guys.
Rusty, when we met the owners of Indy at a gas staition parking lot we were standing outside the car with him.
A van pulled up beside our car and a young kid of about four got out on the far side and came walking around the corner. Indy liking kids started walking toward the poor kid that i`m sure also thought he was a bear.

We let him off the leash today and he stayed right by us, he is really bonding with us fast. :)
