D-day approaches
Well boys, I'm on the clear liquid diet today in prep for the hose-up-the-rose colonoscopy tomorrow morning. I'll spare ye the details, but suffice it to say I start taking the first of EIGHTEEN doses of MiraLAX at 10 this morning. Wish me luck and a clear path to the men's room ....

I take it the "D" is for Diarrhea...

The prep is a LOT worse than the procedure.

Hose in the rose, classic.
For whatever reason I have been dodging the mandatory over 40 finger every time our annual army physical comes around. However I'm starting to think I need to just do it.

"The Procedure" is purely a mind game we play with ourselves because we're real men. You'll be amazed at how benign it really is.Mescalero wrote:The prep is a LOT worse than the procedure.
Good luck...those results are what count!

Four more doses of MiraLAX in Gatorade and I get to add two Dulcolax pills to the brew.

Re: D-day approaches
I've got several good one liners floating around right now (no pun intended) but I'll just stick with "here's to good news!".
At the time she might have been 120# and the officer was close to 300# (and well over 6' so he wasn't "fat"). Yeah, you can see where this is headed...
10-12 years ago She Who Puts Up With Me was having "regularity" issues. The off duty officer who worked security at her store told her about the citrate of magnesium and how well it worked for him. She asked how much to take and he said he drank the whole bottle.Bill in Oregon wrote:Mescalero: I think the current regimen beats the old mag citrate and Fleet's

Nothing so needs reforming as other people's habits.

Whew, no polyps, a little diverticulitis and "see you in 10 years."
All's well that ENDS well I guess ...

Re: D-day approaches
JUST A REMINDER AS I POSTED THIS BEFORE-- a colonoscopy is very similar to an alien abduction experience...bright lights...missing time... and you know that you've been probed... BILL, glad everything is ok, glad that we as a group are talking about this, will help the next guy... :)

A little diverticulosis. If you should ever be so unfortunate as to suffer an attack of diverticulitis you will more clearly appreciate the difference!Bill in Oregon wrote:Whew, no polyps, a little diverticulitis and "see you in 10 years."

Glad it went well. Think fiber and smooth moves to keep the "a little diverticulosis" from becoming "a lot of diverticulosis" or worse, a diverticulitis attack (which is about the same as having an appendicitis attack - not fun).
Cheers,
