St Usuge Spaniel

Post by Marlin32 »

Any of you bird hunters on here interested in a St Usuge Spaniel, let me know.
Breeder near by had a pup returned, they decided I guess they didn't want a dog.
7 months old.
Google St Usuge and read about them if interested.

I have one, and hard to beat. Very much like a Small Munsterlander Pointer, just a bit smaller,
same nose, and good dead bird dogs. The St Usuge hunts closer even than the SMP, real close, so if you think a dog has to be 300 yards away from you, this isn't the breed for you.
My dog has never been more than 100 yards away from me in her lifetime. Great pheasant and bobwhite/valley quail dog, huns, prairie chickens, sharp tails and I think would be great for ruffed grouse and woodcock, mine just hasn't had that opportunity.

Fantastic house dog to boot. Mine sleeps with us in bed. Still thinks she is lap dog.
Easiest dog I ever trained, and great quiet easy going disposition.

Good looking dog! Reminds me of a longer legged field Springer.
