I like hunting with old time firearm's . Most of my huntin is with old Winchester's or Sharp's rifles. Any other's out there doing that kinda huntin. Would like to see some pic's of other's . Here is a Wt. Bk. from last season taken in West Texas using my 1876 Winchester cal. 45-75wcf. ......Dusty

Very cool pard, only huntin picture i have is using a smoke pole other than a buck i shot many years ago with my Browning 86.

Usually have an old rifle while hunting.
My first deer was with a Win. 95 SRC in .30-'06. This was back in '96 when I still had hair!

Here's my first boar with my 1886 in .33WCF, he squealed and went about ten paces before he dropped.

Another deer with Grandpa's Springfield Sporter.

Another Boar was taken with this 95 in 35WCF that belonged to my Mom's dad.

I recently bought a Remington 700 in .308 to take along for a back up rifle for fowl weather. It would break my heart if I screwed up one of my classics.

I hunt with a lot of old guns, though I don't shoot a lot of game with them. But then I don't shoot a lot of game with the new ones either.

Last deer I shot was with one of them modern semi automatics.

One of the attractions of leverguns & peep sights, besides nostalgia, was to make it somewhat harder for me than placing crosshairs on some unsuspecting critter a few football fields away.

IMHO, It puts the "hunt" back into "hunting", instead of just going on "shooting" something.

. Took the blunderbuss out once last year for turkey, but didn't see any. May hunt deer with the 86 SRC this year, then again, by then, I might be into something else.

the oldest gun Ive had was a 1873 in 32-20 made in 1886, got me some PD & a coyote with it
last year I used a 25-35 made in 1917 to bring home a deer
yep like the old Winchesters, never had a 76

Here's another Model 8 pic: me about a few years back. My grandpa sold a Savage 99 in 25-35 to get a new Model 8 in .35 Rem. I usually take it out at least once a year when the country's not too open.
