Who needs a spotting scope

Post by madman4570 »

For anyone liking to (look at stuff)have found a very nice unit.

In fact this above is what I now use instead of lugging my 20 year old 30-60X Leupold Gold Ring spotter/stand.

Nikon Action Extreme ATB-------------------16 X 50

Can see tiny insects on a tree stump @ 100yds

Guys------unreal and they are sure nice for watching most other stuff too.

About 10 years ago the wife bought me the Nikon Action Series (non-Extreme) 12X50 and those also have been absolutely fantastic and they work fine at even close distances and those also like up too 100yds-----work fine for spotting targets.
But these 16X50 EX new ones--------sweet

Since I shoot most my stuff open sights--------------------------these are handy and serve multiple purposes.

Very reasonable and they are clear and they adjust perfect.

I thought this WAS a spotting scope; but they're binos?

I bought a Minox 15-30x spotting scope and sold my binos; couldn't stand them around my neck.

I couldn't give up my Celestron 20-60x.....I have some 10x Leupold Windriver and they are most excellent....I find both useful...

Binoculars work fine if they are tripod mounted.
Having to pick them up and find the target after each shot is a pain.
