Finished another holster

Post by Hagler »

Ladies & gentlemen,

I love to make leather holsters, but my hands suffer from alergic reactions to various things that I touch. I feel that I have figured out what I should avoid, but I sometimes wind up having to stop working on leathergoods, regardless. Here is a holster that I finished several months ago, and I thought that you all would like to see it. This holster is for a Ruger SP-101, 3" barrel, for a left-hander:

It's very nice Shawn. It only has one prob- it's on the wrong side  JK I like it a lot. It looks very rugged.

Very nice work. I never thought of using a snap on both ends of the strap.
That would simplify things a lot on some designs.

Thanks, everybody! :D I still have a long way to go, though. I am still learning. Even though I can make some "pretty" stuff, I also make some utility goods, too. I have made a few leather items, for my father-in-law, where he doesn't really want something pretty, just something that functions correctly. Here is a sheath that I made, for his drywall saw, using 13-to-15 (thick, tough leather) ounce saddle skirting (the saw is very sharp, and I cut myself on it, too):
