Is there an easy wasy to date a Ted Williams Model 94?

Acquired a beater .30-30 Sears rifle @ gushow today. Obvioulsy post '64; receiver finish messed up bigtime.

I assume it was made by Winchester.

Ideas how to reckon a ballpark date of mfgr?

The ballpark is anywhere from 1964 to 1973, when Sears stopped selling firearms.

If it has the solid/cast lifter, then 1971 (when the solid lifter was introduced) to 1973.

If the lifter's the earlier post-64 stamped sheet metal unit, then 1964-1970

Some where I saw a chart showing Ted Williams, (Sears) S/N data.

Maybe Blue Book of Guns, in the back of the book ?

Years ago I was in a gun shop when a guy came in and wanted to sell one of those to the shop. He called it a Ted Williams "Commemorative." Thinking it was some kind of limited edition model. Then he got mad when he thought the guys in the shop were trying to rip him off.
