Author Tom Clancy Has Gone Home......

Post by Pete44ru »

.

FWIW, today's noon news report stated that Author Tom Clancy has passed away @ 66 y.o., from unstated reasons.

I, for one, liked his books/writing.

The Hunt For Red October is a classic..

Early on, I found his books thrilling, but later, he seemed more interesting in creating some kind of conservative Utopia in his books, and I got tired of that.

However, I still think the book about Mr. Clark is one of his best.

That's the first I've heard about Vince Flynn, another fave - I wondered why no new books came out this year.

Tom Clancy, and others, graduated to co/ghost writers in their later years - Some barely "ok" (and others not so good), but the differences sink in fairly quickly for frequent readers.
