You know some thin' guys, I brought that boy up with a levergun in his hands when he could barely hold it. He killed his first deer at 12 with an 1886 in .33 WCF.

For handguns, it was single action Colts and Rugers and pre-war N frame 'Smiths.

He had all the ammo he wanted to shoot at my expense.

AND LOOK WHAT HE SHOOTS NOW......Noveski and Colt AR's with a silencer.....Sig 1911 with a silencer. Glock handguns are in every room of his house. My idea of a silencer is to shoot .22 cb caps.

I really did my best to bring him up "old school". (I'm sorry, I can't contain myself )

No father is more proud of his son than I am. A responsible guy, excellent father, and with enough honor in his character to fill an ocean. Happy Birthday dude !! :D ---- yo pappa

Man, sorry to hear you failed at parenthood.... :|

Unfortunately, he's had a huge load of stuff to deal with the past few years, but we've seen him hold up tough and strong through it all, much as an old 1895 or 1886 levergun that had to endure storage in a humid basement for a generation. Looks like he's back upstairs, and ready for some huntin' and shootin'. . . 8)

Prayers up for a better decade ahead...

Thanks Doc.
He has had a long road and one he navigated very well, mostly with little help as his family is 2000 miles away.

I believe the true success of a man is not how much money he has, but what his children think of him. I don't talk much of my daughter, but she too has done well and to which I am equally proud of. She does what you do, but for animals.

I'm just a factory worker peon, but.....a happy peon :D -----6

Kid,
He did! Look at the above pics he posted. He got my next to my best 1895 and the Sako 300 mag that my dad gave to me 20 years ago that hurt too much when I shot it. :D ----6

Duh... should have realized that was you! "Papa" is what we called my grandfather - lots of people where I grew up used the same nickname for their grandfathers. Figured the fruit didn't fall far from the tree in the whole Sixgun family line! :D

A belated happy birthday.
You're lucky, I've given my dad more guns than he has given me.
I hope your old man doesn't see this!

Old Win,
Your lucky I like you. :D

On a serious note, if you gave your dad guns, it will come back to you in another way, not necessarily with guns, but with other things in life that will bring you happiness and mental contentment.

The rest of the story is I'm an only child
I always try and give him stuff I like too haha. Seriously though, my dad has been my best friend all my life.

Oh, and I'm glad you like me.
