Killer Women
Saw the ads for a new "mini-series" (8 episodes) called "Killer Women". Decided to check it out, because...
(1) I like crime/cop action/drama TV
(2) I love pretty much anything to do with Texas Rangers
(3) Sofia Vergara is producing it (to me the prettiest woman on TV right now! )
(4) It looked like it stars Tricia Helfer (turns out it does), who played "Number 6" in the Battlestar Galactic reboot (which I enjoyed a lot),
and, perhaps most important - she was sporting a 1911 on her hip in the ads. Gotta be good, huh?
Watched the first episode and enjoyed it. Hope it does well!

I liked Tricia Helfer in her guest star role in Burn Notice. Too bad that they never used a levergun in that show.

The show airs on ABC, on Tuesday's @ 10:00PM, on my local cable provider. YMMV.

"Killer Women?" Geeze, I married into a family of full blooded Italian farm girls......6 girls and 2 boys in that family. The 2 boys are known for being nobody to mess with, being built like 55 gallon oil drums and all muscle.

Re: Killer Women
I watched the first (and last for me) episode from iTunes. It appears to me to be an affirmative action poor version of Walker Texas Ranger. In general a weak story line where you are led to believe she has some fantastic "intuition" that lets her figure out what is going on while neanderthal men remain clueless. As for the action, the gun work is poor at best and the "tactical" scenes look like a bunch of mall ninjas and video gamers. I want my hour back.

I'm with you. I saw only about 30 minutes of it though so I lost less of my life to it.SJPrice wrote:I watched the first (and last for me) episode from iTunes. Re: Killer Women
She does have nice teeth, guess that is why she was in Playboy and worked for Victoria's Secret.
Re: Killer Women
Because of this thread, I watched the show last night out in the shop.
I have to say it was the lamest show I've ever seen. Her modeling career was fully on display with respect to hats and holsters, but the acting was abysmal and the story line even worse.

Re: Killer Women
A shame - with a real script, better acting and a bit of real wear, sweat and curl on the too perfect hat and they might have something. As it is, nothing.

ie if they reinvented it from the ground up, it might fly. Maybe.gak wrote:A shame - with a real script, better acting and a bit of real wear, sweat and curl on the too perfect hat and they might have something. As it is, nothing.

Re: Killer Women
Charlie's Angels taught us that stuffing a show with pretty women doesn't make it a great crime drama.
I hardly watch tv cops shows. Barnaby Jones solved all his cases in 45 minutes. He didn't have internet, cell phone, computer, or a semi-auto tupperware pistol. (the pilot episode looked like a snub-nosed .38 exhibit)

Re: Killer Women
Since the two woment they promoted to Ranger status flopped, it was almost a forgone conclusion the show would too... Since "Person of Interest" is a repeat tonite... I guess I catch it on the left coast feed... I love DirecTV and their motor home plan...

Nice hat.
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Re: Killer Women
Nice hat indeed, and a plus one +1, on the nice leather.
When I worked at the DPS HQ in Austin many years ago, I saw and met some Texas Rangers and the nice leather is the only thing this show has in common with the real thing.
I watched part of it last night when she entered a house with her pretty 1911 drawn , but the hammer was not cocked - maybe a club or a ray gun?
