Those were great! What a character. Him playing the national anthem was cool too. -Tutt

That was great.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

I think Doc AJ may actually BE Ted Nugent, a Jekyll and Hyde relationship occurring after overmedicating himself on weekends. Notice you never see them in the same place at the same time...

Well, if you haven't heard what good old Nuge did to avoid the draft, I doubt that "we" would look on him with so much pride. :(

Kept awake for a week, saturated himself with drugs, peed and vomited over himself, stuffed his pants, and reported in to the station.

He did not avoid the draft. There are lots of people who did avoid the draft as draft dodgers. He did not serve which is different. He has changed the story of what he did over the years as the whim took him.

This is from Fact Checker's site and I found most sites were stating the same thing. On some of the rabid sites there is more bile and vinegar being spilled than anything else. Especially the anti gun sites.

quote - Government records show Nugent originally got a student deferment in 1969 (not exactly befitting the gonzo reputation of the “Motor City madman”) and when student deferments were ended, he got a 4-F designation that he was “not qualified for military service,” which could be for medical or mental reasons. unquote

What was the reason for the 4-F? Have to find the file to find the real truth. What year were student defers ended? If already into the draw down towards the end of the war maybe it was easier to just 4-F the ones that were of lower quality and keep the keen and more usable. Happens all the time.

I'm not anti-gun, and I disagree :P Ultra Left Wing Snopes was "undetermined".....The last year for the draft was 1973. His 4-F from a knee injury was lifted before he went through his act to be excused. Don't play word games, he reported to the station, but, behaved in a manner that saw him excused.

I tend to like different style guitaring (Terje Rypdal is the COOLEST), but some days I do look as scroungy as Old Uncle Ted...
