Berry's has new Hybrid Hollow Point bullets

Post by madman4570 »

In the new 2014 Berry's Bullets catalog they sent me I see they now have New Self Defense bullets.
They offer them in 9mm, 40 S&W/10mm, and for 45 ACP
All with various weights. Engineered as a premium Self Defense Bullet and called Hybrid Hollow Point they can be bought in large bulk quantities.

Sorry 7.62 but nope!

They just have this bullet shown as the main focus on their front cover of catalog and also on the back cover of catalog.
Saying "New HHP" and on page 3 what you can order with it and another pic.
It has 6 wide petals shown when expanded and on page 3 they say its a premium self defense bullet.
Looks like a real expander?

What? I thought we weren't supposed to carry hand loads for self defense. Now these come out? What would Mas Ayoob say?

They been adverstising them for almost a year and were sposed to be being tested and for sale soon. Go tired of reading the no update as of yet updates. They look like a great idea if they make them available.

I swore off Berry's a few years ago, too many undersized bullets. Even with the double struck ones.
Slow is just slow.

Those are some interesting looking bullets. I just might try some in my .45 Colts. Too bad they don't offer them in 250 gr weights. That would really get my attention.

All I know is their 165gr JFP for my .40S&W have been superb in the quality dept.
Shoot in my Sub2000's very fine. Not one stuck bullet and am buying them in the 1000's.

Would you care to share your data for it. Have you chronoed them? I got their 180gr FP's and couldnt decide between those and the 165"s.
